☀ A warm and more oft demure personality hailing from the cold stones of the Holy See, the former retainer is an avid seeker of knowledge. While, the scholar keeps his past very close to himself, rumors are that his research has led the duskwight to areas with connections to dragons, voidsent, heresy and intrigue.☀ Auliander is a very private and introverted person. One who would prefer to stay in the back of a room, quietly watching others and perhaps listening to a conversation here and there. While the duskwight does not actively seek speaking with others, he is not particularly shy and does not run away when he is engaged in conversation with another. In fact, once spoken to, the retainer's nature is receiving and incredibly warm.☀ Despite the somewhat ominous nature of his studies, to any who would know him, Auliander is courteous, pleasant, and over-all, a charming and highly personable individual.☀ Due to a traumatic events in his past and near present, Auliander is plagued by memory. Though still good-natured, this leaves the Ishgardian gentleman seemingly distant at times.

Although Auliander tries almost desperately to hide them, he has numerous scars from a variety of sources.Claw marks, deep bite marks, odd swirling burns scarring his fingers, hands and forearms that never seem to fully heal. Long, misshapen scars upon his back that cross back and forth on themselves.If any are mentioned to him, more often than not the duskwight will immediately aim to change the subject but with those he trusts, perhaps he would be more open to speak about them.

He was raised in Ishgard as a retainer, so Auliander has been around the Holy See his entire life. If ever there was an event for nobility and one his house would attend, he was likely there and aiming to go unnoticed in the back of the room. It is very likely if your character hails from Ishgard, they might have seen this tall, quiet duskwight retainer with bright, gold eyes.He was apart of a public trial held in Ishgard. It is easily public knowledge that it was a trial of retribution, as he had injured two Ishgardians of noble birth, and burned down the residence of one. The punishment was a public flogging and one Auliander fully believes was fair and just, even to this day.Auliander was married to a well-renowned Opera house owner, in where he would frequently attend their shows and those of their affiliates. Recent reports state the duskwight's husband had fallen ill with an incurable sickness, and eventually had succumbed to it.

Some have seen or heard tells of a mysterious duskwight asking about certain places buried in the freezing snow and ice of Coerthas. He would request information about derelict houses taken by blizzard or regions holding dark pasts and bloody histories.Wandering guardsman have offered reports of finding charred, near unrecognizable bodies of dead dragons in and around Central Coerthas. Reports are vague but some would state the presence of a lone set of footprints in snow, leading away from the gruesome scene.

☀ Auliander has fought and killed voidsent in the past and although he wouldn't consider himself a 'hunter' persay - If an 'evil' needs struck down, he will help in any way he is able.☀ While his research is mainly comprised of the study of dragons, Auliander loves to learn and tends to follow his curiosity. If your character too loves the chase of knowledge, the duskwight would be very interested.☀ Has studied dragons and their kin for many years, though usually not face-to-face.
He relies on (mostly fresh) corpses, blood samples, etc for his continuous research and is always looking for supply.☀ Auliander was born with an excess of aether so if your character is aether-sensitive, it would be fairly easy to feel the duskwight's seemingly agitated aether.☀ Is in possession of many worn relics/artifacts from various (abandoned) heretic dens that have been gathered through many ventures.☀ The duskwight is regularly plagued by nightmares.
